DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement Contributes $1M to COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Grants will support communities during the pandemic and throughout the recovery period

BOSTON—The DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement announced a set of grants totaling $1M to organizations supporting relief efforts for underserved populations and regions hit hardest by COVID-19, including communities that are experiencing disproportionate effects of the pandemic. 

In its headquarters state of Massachusetts, the DentaQuest Partnership contributed $200,000 to The Boston Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is an unrelenting challenge for thousands of people in Greater Boston and for the nonprofits who serve the community,” said Paul S. Grogan, president and CEO of the Boston Foundation. “We are deeply appreciative of DentaQuest for stepping up with this donation, which will allow us to provide critical support funds to even more nonprofits so they can continue their vital work through this pandemic and in the long recovery process to come.”

The DentaQuest Partnership also contributed $145,000 to e: 
United Way of New York City’s COVID-19 Community Fund 
The Cleveland Foundation’s Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund  
The Communities Foundation of Texas’s North Texas Community Response Fund 
Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties’ COVID-19 Response Fund
Decolonizing Wealth Project’s Native American Community Response Fund

A final grant of $75,000 was made to the Arizona Community Foundation’s Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund.
 
“We remain firmly focused on our goals of achieving oral health for all and driving broad systemic changes,” said Dr. Myechia Minter-Jordan, president and CEO of the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement and Catalyst Institute. “During this extraordinary social, economic and health care crisis, these one-time grants are providing resources to community organizations that are best positioned to meet the immediate and ongoing needs of some of the most vulnerable populations during the pandemic and through the recovery period.”
