SOUTH JORDAN, Utah—Ultradent Products has revealed its latest tool for non-invasive treatments—the photobiomodulation (PBM) adapter for the Gemini 810 + 980 soft tissue diode laser. When paired with the Gemini laser, the PBM adapter gives clinicians the ability to treat a myriad of conditions—specifically pain management, even with such conditions as TMJ disorders—with one easy-to-use device.

“We’re committed to progressing non-invasive dentistry and our PBM adapter furthers that effort,” says Ultradent founder and CEO, Dr. Dan Fischer. “This adapter allows clinicians across the globe to better serve their patients through a variety of treatment needs.”

The PBM adapter marks another technological advancement for Ultradent, following research into the benefits of photobiomodulation treatments.

“With a wealth of well-documented clinical studies in hand, we know that PBM can be a valuable resource to the clinician. We’re proud to support the clinician with this addition to the Gemini laser,” says Ultradent VP of research and development, Neil Jessop.

The PBM adapter functions on the 810 wavelength, the optimal wavelength to be absorbed for photobiomodulation. It is designed exclusively for the Gemini 810 + 980 soft tissue diode laser, expanding the Gemini laser’s catalogue of procedures to deliver highly impactful treatments.
