Kodak Mailers

New Prepaid Mailers Make Processing 12-Exposure Kodak Dental Photographic Film Easy, Convenient
Posted: February 22, 2002

Dentists who use Kodak Dental Photographic Print or Slide Film now have an easy and cost-effective way to get their pictures processed: Prepaid mailers with Kodak Premium Processing specifically designed for the film’s twelve-exposure configuration.

The film processing mailers are being offered through Kodak’s subsidiary Qualex Inc., a leading supplier of photofinishing services. They can be ordered through authorized dealers of Kodak dental products.

The new mailers provide a number of benefits to dentists. They enable dentists to obtain quality photofinishing for Kodak Dental Photographic Print or Slide Film from anywhere in the United States. And unlike most mailers, which require dentists to prepay for the processing of either 24- or 36-exposures, the new Kodak Dental Photographic Film mailers can be used for 12-exposure orders.

The mailers will also assist dentists who choose Kodak Dental Photographic Slide Film. Processing this film typically requires a professional photofinishing lab, and some dentists in smaller or more rural communities may not have convenient access to such a lab. Now, using prepaid mailers with Kodak Premium Processing, dentists can access slide film processing direct from the Kodak Lab and returned back to their office.

“The Kodak Dental Photographic Film mailers are our response to requests from dentists who love our film, but wanted a more convenient way to get it processed,” said Ruth Arbuckle, worldwide product line manager, dental analog imaging products, Kodak’s dental business. “We’re pleased to announce a solution that will let dentists get 12-exposure rolls processed from anywhere in the country, without adding unnecessary expense.”

Kodak Dental Photographic Film, introduced last year, lets dentists dedicate one roll per patient, for easier organizing of images. Its neutral color balance supports more accurate documentation of color information for communicating with dental labs. The film rolls provide space for recording patient information and notes and case presentation guidelines, including the 12 recommended views, from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
