AGD New Benefits

Academy of General Dentistry Offers New Benefits to Members
Posted: March 7, 2005

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce two new relationships with Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. and ZOLL Medical Corporation, partnerships which will allow the AGD to offer new benefit programs to its membership.

Effective January 16, 2005, Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. is the new third party insurance administrator for the AGD Endorsed Member Life, Accident and Health Insurance Programs. Affinity is an AGD endorsed member benefit group insurance program that is exclusively available only to AGD members. Affinity specializes in customized coverage designed to suit a variety of needs. The program provides term life insurance, major medical, long-term disability and more. Long-term care insurance, family coverage and medical catastrophic coverage are also available.

The AGD has also established a relationship with ZOLL Medical Corporation, the leading cardiac resuscitation company. ZOLL manufactures the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Plus, the first and only full-rescue AED designed for infrequent rescuers. In the frenzied confusion of an emergency situation, the ZOLL AED Plus makes users feel comfortable and gives confidence to successfully complete every aspect of a sudden cardiac arrest rescue.

AGD members can take advantage of these new benefits and other numerous AGD-endorsed programs including practice financing, a flexible patient-finance program, professional liability, medical, term and life insurance programs and low-cost credit card processing services. "These services can help build a dentist's practice, save money, protect investments and increase convenience," says AGD President Thomas A. Howley, Jr., DDS, MAGD.

To learn more about AGD's benefits contact the Member Benefits Coordinator at 888.243.3368, ext. 4355. If interested in becoming an AGD member, call AGD's Member Services Center at 888.243.3368, ext. 5300. A member services representative will answer questions or can begin the membership process over the phone. The AGD works hard to improve the quality and value of the service it provides to members.
