BISCO UNI-ETCH With BAC
BISCO Dental Products new UNI-ETCH with BAC and ETCH-37 with BAC in a 30ml bulk syringe system are 32 percent and 37 percent semi-gel phosphoric acid etchants with BAC (benzalkonium chloride), an antimicrobial agent. They are ideal for etching tooth structure prior to bonding. They're specifically formulated to be easily applied to larger surface areas and rinsed cleanly with no residue.
Intended for use on enamel, dentin, and as a cleaning agent for restorative substrates, UNI-ETCH and ETCH-37 will remove the smear layer, etch and demineralize enamel and dentin, producing the necessary microretentive surface for successful bonding. The thixotropic etchant rinses away cleanly and quickly, leaving no residue. The products are also available in 5g syringes packaged in a quantity of four. Stoma Dental Upgraded Disposable HVE and SE Valves
Stoma Dental introduces an upgraded DOVE brand line of disposable high-
volume ejector (HVE) and saliva ejector (SE) valves. The valves reduce the
possibility of reverse flow, or backflow, which can occur when there is greater negative pressure in the patient's mouth than in the evacuator tubing. Switch activation by the dentist, assistant or hygienist operates the open and closing mechanism and at the end of each procedure, the valves can be pulled off the vacuum line and discarded.
The entire process takes a matter of seconds, making use of the DOVE valves much more efficient and cost-effective than metal valves, which can take more than 10 minutes (excluding autoclave time) and, at times, even two staff members, to disassemble and sterilize when more stringent protocols are followed. Obtura Spartan Endodontics ONE ENDO File
Obtura Spartan Endodontics has released ONE ENDO File, a flexible rotary nickel titanium file designed by Dr. John T. McSpadden, DDS.
The ONE ENDO File's "self-piloting cut flip tip" forms dentinal chips while an opposing curved area smoothly pilots the tip into the canal. This design allows clinicians to navigate challenging canals without screwing in or pushing debris in advance of the cutting tip or through the apical foramen. Larger ONE ENDO Files have been heat-treated, giving the thicker files greater flexibility to work in complex canal anatomy and to navigate curvatures like smaller files, thus reducing the number of instruments required to perform root canal procedures.
