Product Profile: Bisco

Adhesive Cementation System
BISCO has long offered adhesive products that are compatible with dual-cure and self-cure resin-based cements and core materials (All-Bond 2, One-Step, All-Bond SE/TE/3, etc.). In addition, BISCO offers adhesive products that are dual-curable for those instances where a curing light cannot reach or penetrate a restorative material (All-Bond 2, All-Bond TE/3). With the introduction of All-Bond Universal (ABU), a simple one-bottle adhesive system was created that met all the needs of the clinician using a superior chemical formulation based on 30 years of research.

Despite ABU's film thickness of only 10 microns, some clinicians prefer an adhesive and primer that does not need to be light-cured, ensuring that the indirect restoration will seat properly regardless of the film thickness of the adhesive layer. BISCO has created such an adhesive and primer— Universal Primer—based upon the chemistry of ABU.

Universal Primer does not need to be light-cured for post cementation or under crowns, onlays, inlays, etc., when used with dual-cure or self-cured restorative materials, and can be used in other direct restorative procedures, such as core build-ups or composite restorations after light-curing the adhesive. Universal Primer is compatible with self-cure, light-cure and dual-cure materials, and the chemistry offers flexibility to self-etch, selective-etch or total-etch.

Universal Primer combines ease of use with virtually no post-operative sensitivity. It is available in a two- bottle system or in the convenient, all-in-one ACE cartridge system. To help simplify material selection and to continue to provide maximum clinical performance, Universal Primer is also available in a system kit with Duo-Link Universal. This combination offers superior bond strength and aesthetics.

When used with BISCO's Duo-Link Universal, it has shown higher bond strengths when compared to other systems. Plus, it's compatible with other popular cementation systems. Duo-Link Universal adhesive resin cement is specially formulated for cementation of all indirect restorations and provides all of the desired properties for universal cementation: high radiopacity, high mechanical strength, high bond strength, low film thickness and easy clean-up. Duo-Link Universal is available in two aesthetic shades: universal and milky white.
