Imaging is a significant activity in every dental practice. Radiographs are an indispensable component of successful treatment. With the Provecta 70, Air Techniques builds on its expertise in dental imaging. Why did Air Techniques choose to produce an x-ray unit?
Air Techniques is a trusted leader in dental imaging, with over three decades of experience. Thousands of dentists have trusted our A/T ScanX 2000 and Peri-Pro for superior image processing. The Company saw the need for further refinement of the intraoral x-ray and desired to offer Dentists an improved choice.
Who can benefit from owning the Provecta 70?
Every Dentist. The Provecta 70 is a superb choice for all dental practices, including new offices and replacement installations, using film or digital imaging mediums.
What sets Provecta 70 apart from other products?
Air Techniques analyzed the operation of existing intraoral x-ray units and then engineered performance refinements in the three areas directly affecting customer satisfaction: exposure control, tubehead positioning and installation.
Exposure Control
The operator can switch instantly between film and digital mediums by pressing one icon; all exposure settings are automatically reprogrammed. There are 20 pre-set exposure values, yet all settings can be manually adjusted to suit individual preferences. The exposure LED may be set to read in seconds or pulses. This advantage allows the operator to select their preferred display scale. Because changes in incoming line voltage can affect radiographic density, the Provecta 70 incorporates circuitry that senses and automatically compensates for voltage fluctuations. The Provecta 70 has a 1:32 duty cycle that allows shorter times between exposures without worry of the x-ray tubehead overheating.
Tubehead Positioning
Tactile engineering refinements become obvious as the operator positions the arm. The Provecta 70 arm is extruded from exceptionally rigid aircraft grade, high-strength aluminum alloy. Special composite bearings exhibit near frictionless motion. The 4-bar linkage arm suspension was developed using Dynamic Force Modeling software to optimize the link positions. Computer modeled engineering and design refinements enable the arm to resist the innate tendency of the tubehead to drift. Plus, motion is damped at every pivot point by adjustable braking. Three available horizontal arm lengths of 16", 24" and 35" fit all operatory dimensions.
This attention to detail produces a noticeably refined ease of movement and accuracy of positioning that will be appreciated with every use.
Installation
Replacement x-ray unit installation means downtime and inconvenience for the practice. Quick, accurate installation minimizes disturbance and frustration. Walls are not level and the Provecta 70 wall mount is designed to easily compensate for that reality. Installation is simplified because the wall mount can be immediately leveled in two planes without the need for shims or difficult, time-consuming adjustments. Every Provecta 70 comes with a control box for single stud mounting and a 16" wall plate. The horizontal arm is prewired using quick-connect plugs so internal wiring connections take just seconds. A mobile stand is also available.
There are four product configurations to suit all local codes.
• Control Module in the operatory.
• Control Module outside the operatory.
• Single remote activation switch with LED.
• Double remote activation switch with LED.
