American Dental Technologies product profile

The new Anthos system by American Dental Technologies represents the ultimate combination of high-tech instrumentation and operatory ergonomics. This operatory chair will enable you to maximize your profits and efficiency while performing every dental procedure.

Specifically engineered as a technology platform for the most advanced clinicians, the Anthos delivery system is completely modular and can be retrofitted with any combination of the following options: laser, air abrasion, plasma arc curing light, intra oral camera, flat screen multi-media system with TV, SVGA and video signals, electric micro motor, fiber optic perio scaler, universal illuminated handpiece connections, and a fully interactive assistant’s console.

The incredible European styling bolsters the ideal ergonomic design for instrument delivery and ultimate patient comfort for long procedures. One of the most amazing features is that the entire system operates from a single foot control.

Features and Benefits
Anthos was created in response to two common problems that plague most owners of high-tech instrumentation in dentistry today. If you can’t reach it, you won’t use it, and if you don’t use it you will not recover your investment costs. With over 20,000 users of their own advanced technologies, American Dental Technologies understands the strengths and weaknesses of individually packaged high-tech instruments. Lasers, air abrasion, PAC Lights, cameras, and multi-media systems can be the most efficient profit generating assets in a dental practice, but they must be used often to be truly effective. The problem with technologies in a box is that most users have only one device and it's always in the wrong room. So rather than sending for it, the user either does it the old fashion way, or passes on the opportunity to generate those revenues altogether so he/she can stay on schedule. Until now, the only solution to this problem was to buy one of each technology for every treatment room. But that solution is very expensive and can consume valuable counter and floor space.

The Anthos system was created as a solution for both issues. Integrating the most popular technologies in a single package places all your favorite profit generators at arms reach and significantly reduces the overall cost. As an added bonus the modular expandability allows you to add additional profit centers as your practice grows.

Electric Micro Motor
The Anthos features a universal electric micro motor and will accept all E-motor attachments. That means the user can use his/her endo attachments, implant seating attachments, and all standard low-speed attachments. The Micro Motor RPMs can be programmed to be controlled through the integrated doctor's console in a range from 12.5 to 140,000 rpms. This means a micro motor can be used for any type of low speed or high speed burs and with popular endodontic equipment (Tulsa Dental, 1:16 can get down to 12.5 revolutions.) Many implant attachments can be used as well.

The Anthos Chair Delivery System
Microprocessor controlled electropneumatic base technology accommodates a variety of modular instrumentation. From basic air driven handpieces to surgical lasers, each instrument can be installed at the time of delivery or easily added at a later date. Although the micro processor and basic platform share certain components the Anthos system has been specifically designed to isolate each modular instrument, minimizing the possibly of down time when routine maintenance and service procedures are required.

Continental and Traditional Tubing
Although the Anthos system comes in both Continental and Traditional tubing configurations, ADT highly recommends the Continental style system. The reason for this is pure ergonomics. Unlike traditional "buggy whip" style systems the Gulliver Millennium Continental model offers the operator a unique opportunity to adjust or tune the resistance of each instrument arm to have the same weight or tactile sensation at the target area. When properly balanced the arm should bare most of the instrument and tubing weight taking significant stress off the operator's wrist. This feature is especially valuable when using large handpieces and electric micro-motors.

A second and equally significant reason for choosing the Gulliver Millennium Continental model is instrument access. The Gulliver has a wide range of mobility and can be operated in a transthorax position from ten to twelve o'clock. The "pull through tubing" design of the balanced arm modules afford plenty of reach without having the instrument table near the patients face. When properly positioned the instrumentation is always in the operator's peripheral vision and the assistant has complete access to change settings, burs and attachments.
