If you want more new dental patients for your practice, I’d recommend starting with Google ads.

Google ads depends heavily on your objective. If your goal is, you need more new patients. Then paid acquisition is definitely what I’d recommend you look into first. Because you can bypass the process of waiting for demand, and go into your local market and put your practice in front of people already looking for the service you provide.

My recommended monthly Google ad spend. Start with any amount you’re comfortable with. Generally advise $1500-$2000, and focusing on a specific range (eg 5-10 miles within your practice) giving you less competition and better concentrated spend, giving you feedback on what you need to scale and kill.

For cost per new patients, it depends heavily on what your objective is. If you mean just leads calling it could be anywhere around 50-500 but if you mean actual qualified leads looking to book then expect around 15-30 and 3-5 moving forward with treatment.

But you don’t just run ads for any service, you first take a look at the economics of running the ad. Average  case value for the service and all of that. Spending 2000 to acquire 3 implant patients is different from spending 2000 to acquire 3 cleaning patients. You generally want to focus on cases with higher case value.

The best part about Google ads is you can start seeing results immediately if you optimize your ads well. Because unlike SEO that takes months, or meta which patients aren’t aware. With Google ads these patients are aware they need help and are searching for a solution. The important aspect is how you position yourself when they search. The headline, the landing page and more. You need to give the patient a reason to click and when they click a reason to book. If properly optimized you can start seeing results within an hour or 2.

For start up practices and practices that need more new patients, I’d recommend starting with Google ads, because you need the patients, and you’re yet to established a solid reputation in the market, so before waiting for word of mouth, It’s better to capture existing demand and build on that, while you solidify your other acquisitions channel like SEO and word of mouth so with time you become less reliant on them.  :) share if you found this helpful…
