Synopsis:


The placement and restoration of single posterior implants utilizing cone beam and CAD/CAM technology is “state of the art now”. As the demand for implant services continues to increase, digital technology allows us to place and restore implants with greater predictability, functionality and better esthetics. As more general dentists are offering implant services, this technology can set you apart from the competition by allowing you to provide your patients simpler, time saving, cost effective implant solutions. Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • How to use CBCT and CAD/CAM technology to place surgically guided implants whose position has been restoratively predetermined
  • How to use CAD/CAM technology to quickly and economically produce screw retained crowns
  • How to use CAD/CAM technology to produce custom abutments with cementable crowns
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Scott Sauer has been a dentist supported by Pacific Dental Services (PDS) since 2009 and became an owner doctor with PDS in 2010. Dr. Sauer graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1990. He taught CEREC at Dentistry by Design in San Diego, California, from 2005 to 2008 and Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Sauer currently teaches CEREC and case acceptance for PDS. He was a fellow and accredited member of the Academy of CAD/CAM dentistry, and was also a case examiner for the Accreditation Board of the Academy of CAD/CAM Dentistry. Dr. Sauer is the president of the Texas Regional Dental Advisory Board and a member of the National Dental Advisory Board for PDS. He is also a member of the Spear Center Faculty Club. Dr. Sauer has been married for 27 years to his wife, Kim, and they have three grown children.
