Synopsis:

It has been almost 20 years since a new comprehensive book has been written on just crown and bridge. The 21st century has been both a digital revolution and a materials revolution. Techniques and materials have changed pace faster than schools have been able to keep up with. This course is designed to teach the novice practitioner how to treatment plan simple crown and bridge using both old and new techniques and materials.

For the experienced practitioner it will be a welcome update. Practitioners critical thinking ability will be challenged as old conventions and myths are dispelled.

Since 60% of all implants placed in the United States are placed by general practitioners who also restore them a section is specifically devoted to treatment planning and prosthetic restoration of both single and bridged implants.

With a large trend towards implant us due to the high success rate and longevity over traditional crown and bridge another section will cover current controversies, FDA approvals, and Dental Patents from the late 19th through the 21st century.

Description of Speaker:
Dr. Brower is a general dental practitioner who graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota in 1997. Dr. Brower has designed both conventional and mini implants that have received FDA approval and enjoys teaching the latest techniques and materials. He currently lives in South Dakota with his family and practices with two other dentists that have combined experience pool of over 70 years. Dr. Brower maintains active membership in the South Dakota Dental Association, American Dental Association, International Association of Orthodontics, American Orthodontic's Society, International academy of mini dental implants, and is a founding member of the American Academy of Small Diameter Implants.
