Synopsis:
This course will review in detail both the radicular anatomy and physiologic reasons for unusual and difficult-to-treat anatomy. Strategies for dealing with natural root canal spaces will be reviewed, and many conventional approaches will be questioned.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

• Understand how the development of the tooth leads to various anatomical conditions.
• Understand how injury to the pulp affects the location and amount of tertiary dentin.
• Know which difficulties arise during endodontic therapy due to anatomy.
• Learn techniques and principles to overcome the limitations of our current approaches.

Description of Speaker:
Dr. Scott Weed received his DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Weed was commissioned a lieutenant in the Navy and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the United States Naval Dental Center, Okinawa, Japan. He then practiced general dentistry for two years with his father, Dr. Robert F. Weed, in Fallon, Nevada. Dr. Weed left general practice and then completed a twoyear specialty program in endodontics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. It was in Los Angeles that Dr. Weed conceived of the Reno Endodontic Continuum.
