1. CONVERGENT DENTAL in Natick, Massachusetts received $9 million in funding from venture capital firms and private investors. This brings the total private investment in the firm to over $30 million.

2. Arkansas is home to the only diamond mine in the US and by the end of the year they will have five Aspen-branded dental offices open in the state.

3. ALLOVATE LLC in New York, New York began marketing Allerdent OMIT System, a new prescription toothpaste that effectively treats allergies.

4. OBTURA SPARTAN ENDODONTICS, Algonquin, Illinois-based subsidiary of Young Dental, commercialized the ONE ENDO File that has a flexible tip that manages torsion and seldom binds in a root canal.
