Members of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, one of the oldest international dental organizations, unanimously endorsed Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman, CEO and President of Henry Schein, Inc., as an honorary member. Mr. Bergman is one of only three non-dentists to be made an honorary member in Alpha Omega's history. Founded in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1907 by a group of dental students originally to fight discrimination in dental schools, Alpha Omega is primarily an educational and philanthropic organization dedicated to promoting the profession of dentistry. The fraternity represents more than 15,000 dentists, and has chapters and members in cities and dental schools in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Israel, South Africa and Australia/New Zealand.
