Keep America Smiling, a campaign dedicated to recognizing people and organizations within our industry who give their talents and time to increase the oral health of the country or who assist disadvantaged people in time of need, was officially launched in Chicago, IL at the annual Mid Winter Meeting.

Hosting a gala reception with over 800 dental professionals in attendance, Mr. Robert A. Ganley, president of Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc., made the presentation and acknowledged the following organizations and people:

  • Christina’s Smile – Dr. Richard Garza
  • St. Basil’s Dental Clinic – Dr. Ed Schaaf
  • Smiles for Success – Dr. Donna Rumberger
  • Oral Health America – Mr. Robert Klaus
  • Give Back a Smile - Dr. Wynn Okuda
  • P.A.N.D.A. – Dr. Frank Stechey

“Recognizing these organizations provided a small sampling of the many thousands of dental professionals who help needy children, the working poor, survivors of abuse or who support various oral health programs dedicated to awareness and wellness,” said Mr. Ganley. ”We wanted to take a moment to say thanks to these folks, but also pay tribute to all of the men and women in our industry who are helping make a difference.”

The evening included a spectacular multi-media presentation, showcasing stories of how these organizations are making an impact, and how our lives have changed since the attack on the World Trade Center. The program concluded when members of the Chicago Symphony Chorus delivered a beautiful rendition of God Bless America.

During the next several months, Ivoclar Vivadent will support the Keep America Smiling campaign with an industry-wide awareness program that will include special print advertisements and public relations activities.
