Posted: April 5, 2002
Progeny, Inc., a leading U.S. independent manufacturer of medical x-ray components, brings to market the JB-70 Intraoral, a dental x-ray system that offers increased productivity, ease of use and a modern design modeled for a new or recently updated office setting.

The JB-70 features an intuitive, efficient keypad that can be mounted remotely; standard film and digital imaging compatibility; effortless, ergonomic positioning thanks to a unique handle; smooth-gliding arms that provide full range of motion; and a design for quick, simple installation on almost any wall or cabinet surface.

"The introduction of the JB-70 is an example of our commitment to providing dental X-ray systems designed to be easier to use, smarter and more reliable," said Ed McDonough, Progeny CEO. "The JB-70 provides customers with functionality and value while offering dependability, durability and an updated look."

The next generation
This is Progeny's first venture into the dental market but the executive team behind the name formerly served in senior management, sales and development roles at GENDEX, now a division of Dentsply International. Under the leadership of those who founded and now run Progeny, GENDEX grew to become the leading U.S. manufacturer and distributor of dental X-ray equipment.

"The objective of Progeny is to capitalize on our collective years of experience in the dental field, develop a new generation of systems and capture a significant market share," stated McDonough. "Our unparalleled expertise and reputation within this field is indicative of the quality imaging technology and products we intend to market."

Origin of the JB-70
The JB-70 is named in memory of J.B. Bultman. During his professional career, J.B. served as President of the Dental X-Ray Division of GENDEX.

Building upon a solid history of innovation and guided by an unshakeable commitment to quality, Progeny is dedicated to engineering medical and dental imaging systems designed with the needs of professionals in mind.
