Septodont Signs Agreement with Dr. Gregory Tuttle to Create Needle Bending Guide
Septodont, a manufacturer of dental anesthetics, recently signed an agreement with Dr. Gregory K. Tuttle to develop a needle bending guide for distribution in the U.S. dental market.

The TNN Needle Guide will be developed to complement Tuttle’s TuttleNumbNow technique, a one-step localized intraosseous anesthesia method that reduces onset time and allows dentists to improve their efficiency. The TNN Needle Guide will allow dentists who decide that a bent needle can be used safely in a particular dental procedure to bend a Septoject Evolution needle to the 90–120° angle needed for the TNN technique. The guides will be presterilized, single-use devices available in boxes of 100. They are designed to work exclusively with Septodont needles.

The Septoject Evolution needle’s patented scalpel-bevel design is engineered for a smoother penetration with less tissue displacement. This means less discomfort for patients, even when used for multiple injections. The need for less force, combined with significantly reduced deflection, means better control and accuracy.
