Product Profile: Kettenbach

Dentaltown Magazine

Kettenbach’s Panasil impression materials are addition-curing polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) elastomeric materials with hydrophilic properties, high tear strength, dimensional accuracy and a high resistance to permanent deformation. Panasil materials have been proven to provide superior precision and performance in extreme situations. With a variety of viscosities and set times, they can provide a custom combination to suit a clinician’s specific needs.

Panasil Initial Contact, a light/wash, has a unique initial hydrophilicity that allows the material to overcome any remaining moisture in the mouth. An exact impression of the prepped margin can be assured, even in situations with a moist environment or deep sulcus. It is also highly thixotropic, with outstanding flow properties and a short intraoral setting time.

Panasil tray materials come in a variety of consistencies and total set times: monophase medium, soft heavy and tray fast. They are available in 1:1 50ml cartridges or a jumbo cartridge (for the automix machine). Putties are also available in putty soft, regular and fast, all of which are available in hand mix tubs. Putty soft and fast are also available in jumbo cartridges for use with the automixer.

Panasil Initial Contact (light/wash) is available in three viscosities: x-light (very low viscosity), light (low viscosity) and regular (medium viscosity.) To obtain the best results, it is recommended that Panasil Initial Contact be used in combination with Kettenbach’s tray materials.

Panasil is sold direct to offices and not available through dealers. For more information, visit kettenbachusa.com.
