V-Posil by Voco is a time-optimized VPS impression system that offers maximum precision, which can reduce chair time and overall costs. Up to two minutes of adjustable working time gives practitioners control over the procedure's pace while the two-minute thermoactivated set time improves patient comfort and minimizes procedural time.

Combining the extended working time of a regular-set material with the short setting time of a fast-set material, V-Posil is a single impression material for multiple situations. With that type of flexibility, V-Posil can be used for both single-unit procedures and multiunit crown and veneer cases. Additionally, with a rapid snapset reducing the time spent in the critical zone by up to 50 percent, V-Posil minimizes potential distortion caused by human error, which reduces costly retakes.

With an initial low polyether-like contact angle of less than 10 degrees, the product's hydrophilicity immediately displaces fluids (saliva, blood, etc.) to create an enhanced contact to the dental anatomy, yielding more precise impressions. V-Posil also provides exceptional tear strength and elastic recovery (99.6 percent) to ensure dimensional accuracy of the impression after its removal.

Lab technicians will appreciate V-Posil's unique post-set contact angle of less than 6 degrees, enabling a hydrophilicity that ensures more accurate stone models for better fitting restorations. The material trims easily without air bubbles. These features increase productivity by reducing the need to adjust the restoration before final cementation.

V-Posil is available in five viscosities: two tray materials in V-Posil Putty Fast and Heavy Soft Fast; a medium-bodied tray material in V-Posil Mono Fast; and two wash materials in V-Posil Light Fast and X-Light Fast. Its indications include the full range of impression techniques as well as reline/rebase impressions and impressions for removable dental prostheses. V-Posil wash materials, medium-bodied tray material and the Heavy Soft Fast are available in 50ml cartridge refills, and V-Posil Mono Fast and Heavy Soft Fast, formulated for both easy loading and removal after setting, are also available in 380ml auto-mix cartridges.
