Dentally Incorrect

Dentaltown Magazine

The original plan for this issue of Dentally Incorrect was going to be a case study of how Halloween costumes have evolved over the past few decades, but once we collected a bunch of stock images for popular costumes in 2017, it started to look like we were promoting a strip club. So, instead we'll just play a fun matching game. Let's see how many of the (mostly) famous dental-related movie and television quotes ring a bell. Answers are tiny and upside down at the bottom in two-point type so you'll need your loupes to read them.

  1. "He's a dentist, don't get too excited. And if someone has a heart attack you should still call 911."
  2. "I think I need a root canal. I definitely need a long, slow root canal."
  3. "Vitamin D, calcium, essential for good strong bones and healthy teeth. But that's all Greek to you, isn't it, Mr. Gingivitis?"
  4. "Is this toothbrush approved by the American Dental Association?"
  5. "My first escape. Landed on dentist tools. I was aiming for the toilet."
  6. "You know you're not supposed to brush your teeth for 24 hours before you go to the dentist."
  7. "I am an instrument of perfection, and hygiene. The enemy, of decay and corruption. A dentist. And I have a lot of work to do ..."
  8. "You can trust me. I'm a dentist."
  9. "A person can lose a lot of things. He can lose his soul. He can lose his life. But I've always said the worst thing a man can lose is his teeth. It's true, I should know."
  10. "Oh, please don't worry. I'm not going into that cavity. That nerve's already dying. A live, freshly cut nerve is infinitely more sensitive. So, I'll just drill into a healthy tooth until I reach the pulp. Unless, of course, you can tell me that it's safe."
