  • Valiant LED Curing Light
Vista Dental Products' new Valiant LED curing light produces uniform, high-intensity light in the 395–500nm wavelength range. As a multispectral curing light, the product can polymerize most light-cured dental materials.

Valiant combines an optimized clover-shaped LED arrangement with precision optics to provide a uniform beam through three curing modes (standard, ramp, boost) for user preference. The irradiance is 1,200 mW/cm2 for standard and ramp modes and 2,500 mW/cm2 in the boost mode. The lightweight cordless light also has a transilluminator for detecting fractures, cracks and residual caries.

The Valiant curing light starter kit comes with the handpiece, two rechargeable batteries, a charging base, 100 protective sleeves and a light-attenuating shield. For more information, visit vista-dental.com or call 877-418-4782.

  • Electromatic
KaVo recently launched Electromatic, a new series of electric systems. The new product features constant torque, controlled speed, quiet operation and increased versatility.

The Electromatic motor system delivers constant speed and torque, allowing precise preparations at the defined speed. In combination with its handpieces, KaVo electric systems provide stable control from 2–200,000 rpm for efficient and highly precise work. Electromatic also features an intuitive user interface. Its simple design and clear picture indications make the switch to electrics stress-free.

Three distinct options in the Electromatic series—Electromatic, Electromatic Plus and Electromatic Premium—offer the versatility to choose the right system to fit treatment needs.

  • Invisible Implant Abutment
Riverside Dental Studio's invisible implant abutment is both aesthetic and strong. Because the substructure is titanium coated with porcelain, it is much stronger than zirconia. The product solves most problems inherent to implant restoration such as emergence profile, retention, lifelike contours and color.

The margin is placed at tissue level for easy cement cleanup, thus avoiding failures from excess cement. The junction between the company's signature Emax restoration and the invisible abutment is seamless in fit and color. Even with receding tissue, the restoration is still highly aesthetic.

  • Filtek One Bulk Fill Restorative
3M's new Filtek One Bulk Fill Restorative enables fast and easy one-step placement when applied to posterior restorations. The optical properties and improved opacity of Filtek One enable the simplicity of one-step bulk placement—up to 5mm—with improved aesthetics. These improvements, the result of developments of 3M's nanotechnology, allow for the management of opacity and depth of cure in a smarter way.

Filtek One features increased opacity without reducing depth of cure. Because it is available in five shades, there is no need for layering or dispensing devices.

    For more information, visit 3m.com/filtekone.

3M asked dentists at CDA, Hinman and other recent conventions to try Filtek One Bulk Fill Restorative and share their opinions. Click Here to watch!
