The right fit for the right price
As dentistry becomes more minimally invasive, dentists perform smaller restorations. A rough surface left by a finishing bur can leave a composite material susceptible to plaque buildup and stain, making polishing necessary to preserve the longevity of restoration. However, polishing these tight areas has often been a challenge—until now.
Minnow, a new "go-anywhere" miniature polisher from Microcopy, is designed to fit into these smaller restorations. Suited for single-patient use, it provides the right fit when accessing pits, fissures and tooth anatomy that larger polishers can't reach.
Its small size also allows the dentist to get around the gingival margin without damaging soft tissue, which makes Minnow an efficient, economical answer for all classes of restorations.
Minnow is designed to polish today's nanocomposite and retain its shape. Composites have changed through the years, becoming stronger to resist wear, but polishers that were developed years ago can't always withstand these new materials, will crumble and break during use.
Microcopy addressed this problem with a unique process to help Minnow remain strong yet flexible; as a result, it won't crumble or break. Plus, its flexibility gives the polisher the ability to form around the curvature of the tooth for a flawless surface.
The polishers, available in Satin or Hi-Gloss, enable dentists to match the adjacent tooth surface. Satin removes scratches and imperfections for a smooth shine; Hi-Gloss quickly buffs the composite to a liquid-luster shine as needed in anterior restorations. As a true one- or two-step polishing system, Minnow eliminates the need for polishing paste and sterilization.
Microcopy has focused on making polishing safe, simple, easy to use and convenient. Minnow will polish today's composite to a high luster, and patients will have long-lasting restorations that look and feel great.
