Henry Schein Practice Solutions Teams Up with Axia Technologies
Henry Schein Practice Solutions, the U.S. practice solutions business of Henry Schein, has teamed up with Axia Technologies (AxiaMed), provider of integrated health care payments technology for health care IT companies, to streamline dental practice workflows and simplify the collection of patient payments.

AxiaMed will provide Henry Schein's Dentrix Enterprise with an integrated payment solution for making payment transactions between patients and practices more convenient and less time consuming. AxiaMed processes credit card payments, refunds and voids directly in Dentrix Enterprise, provides detailed transaction reporting, and eliminates double posting and manual errors because payments are automatically posted to the ledger in Dentrix Enterprise. Because of these benefits, dental practices have an integrated method to process patient payments.

ProEdge Dental Products Announces Availability of 'Click and Print' Shipping Option
Dental water testing lab ProEdge Dental Products has announced availability of a "Click and Print" shipping option for its water test kits. Now, ProEdge Water Test customers can immediately print their water test shipping labels from the office computer on standard printer paper. UPS then collects the water samples and delivers them overnight to ProEdge Dental.

Formlabs and 3Shape Announce Partnership to Introduce Software Integration Solutions for Dental Market
Formlabs, the designer and manufacturer of 3-D printing systems, and 3Shape, a provider of 3-D scanning and CAD/CAM software for dental practices and labs, recently announced a partnership to introduce software integration solutions to bring seamless dental 3-D printing workflows to the worldwide market.

As its first and flagship integration solution, Formlabs and 3Shape debuted a dental-3-D printing workflow that streamlines the guide design and manufacturing workflow for dental practitioners, making the production of surgical guides easier and more affordable.

With the Formlabs-3Shape integration solution, dental practitioners can create guides ready for surgery by scanning with 3Shape Trios intraoral scanners and designing with 3Shape Implant Studio software. Once that's complete, hit "print" with Formlabs' PreForm software to 3-D print and manufacture the guides with Formlabs' biocompatible Dental SG resin. While it used to take weeks, the Formlabs-3Shape integration creates a cost-effective chairside 3-D printing workflow that makes even same-day guided surgery possible.

Further integrations across 3Shape's dental software, including Dental System and Orthodontic System, are under development and planned for release throughout the year. These will enable a wide range of workflows that include restorative and orthodontics study models, splints and 3-D printed dentures.
