Sulzer Mixpac Ltd. announced further successes in enforcement of its MIXPAC dental
mixing tips, including court orders against copiers. These legal actions and court orders
further confirmed Sulzer’s patent and trademark rights. Based on new and prior court
orders, numerous sellers are prohibited from advertising, distributing, selling or offering
for sale infringing lookalike mixing tips in the United States. Sulzer dental products

Dental Fix RX, Boyd Industries Enter Support Services Agreement
National mobile dental repair company, Dental Fix RX, has partnered with dental equipment manufacturer, Boyd Industries,
to provide field based services. Established in 2009, Dental Fix RX is a mobile dental equipment repair business that focuses
on customized services that produce high-quality repairs in a short amount of time. Founded in 1957, Boyd Industries transformed
from a custom residential furniture company who fielded requests from doctors and dentists for custom arrangements,

BIOLASE to Raise $35 Million
from Investors in Private
Placement
BIOLASE, Inc., a leading dental
laser manufacturer and distributor,
announced that investors,
directors, officers and employees
have agreed to purchase $35 million
of unregistered shares of the
company’s common stock and
warrants to purchase unregistered
shares of the company’s common
stock in a private placement
transaction. Under the terms of
the private placement, BIOLASE
has agreed to sell an aggregate of
14,162,873 shares of its common
stock at the price of $2.39 per
share, the closing price quoted on
NASDAQ on November 3, 2014.
In addition, the investors will
receive warrants to purchase up to
an aggregate of 9,205,862 shares
of BIOLASE common stock at an
exercise price of $4.00 per share.
The warrants become exercisable
six months after the closing of
the private placement and have a
term of three years from the date
of issuance.

Planmeca University Expands Course Offerings to Chicago
Planmeca University announced the expansion of preview and training
opportunities to the University of Planmeca in Chicago. The expansion
will offer increased access to existing and future customers of
the Planmeca PlanScan system. Additionally, Planmeca University in
Richardson, Texas, has opened two; new classroom spaces and is also
offering in-office training.
The University of Planmeca Chicago opened its doors three months

DENTSPLY Awards the 2014 Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association
DENTSPLY International assembled the 55th Annual American Dental Association (ADA)/ DENTSPLY Student Clinician
Research Program and Reception on October 11, 2014. The awards program took place in San Antonio, Texas, at the
Institute of Texan Cultures, during the 2014 ADA Annual Session. Approximately 70 student clinicians participated in this
year’s program representing research conducted across 39 countries. The Student Clinician Research Program (SCADA)
began during the centennial session of the ADA in New York City in 1959, as a joint venture between DENTSPLY and the
American Dental Association. Today more than 5,000 students participate in this program annually, including students
from 39 countries. Originally, the program consisted of a table clinic presentation where students demonstrated a new
technique. It has grown immensely, with students currently presenting their research results of their clinical, basic science
