Delta Dental Announces New CEO Jeff Russell

Des Moines, IOWA – Delta Dental of Iowa, the largest dental benefits provider in Iowa, announced today that the Board of Directors has selected Jeff Russell as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer, effective May 3, 2013. He succeeds Donn Hutchins, who will retire after a 35-year career, including 13 years as president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa.
 
“Delta Dental will benefit tremendously from Jeff's experience and leadership style as he continues the company’s growth and commitment to the oral health of Iowans going forward,” retiring president and CEO Donn Hutchins said. “I look forward to working closely with him to ensure a smooth and efficient transition.”
 
Russell currently is president and CEO of TMG Financial Services in Des Moines, Iowa. He is the primary company founder, and has led the business since 2007. He successfully guided the company through major economic and regulatory turmoil during the recession and subsequent federal law changes.
 
Mr. Russell’s experience also includes serving as chief strategy officer of Affiliates Management Company, as well as having held various senior management positions for The Members Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University and completed graduate work at the University of Iowa and Harvard Business School.
