SHELTON, Conn.—Centrix's recently launched one-step impressioning system, NoCord VPS has received good reviews from consumers.

NoCord VPS is a vinyl polysiloxane impression material with built-in retraction and hemostatic properties that makes impression taking a simple, one-step procedure. The material contains 15 percent alum to control sulcular bleeding while retracting the gingiva, delivering accurate, detailed VPS impressions without packing cord or messy paste.

Reviewer Dr. Howard S. Glazer, DDS, FAGD calls NoCord VPS a “yes” product because the system accurately captures all the margin details without the need for retraction cords or pastes.

“I know firsthand placing retraction cord is time consuming, it’s inefficient and it’s a stressor for patients and dentists alike. With NoCord VPS, we’ve created a retraction material that does the work for you—there’s no packing, no bleeding and the margins are incredibly accurate. We so appreciate that Dr. Glazer, along with many other dentists who’ve tried NoCord, can see the advantages of using our product," said Centrix founder Dr. William B. Dragan.
