Dr. David D'Alise founded OCO Biomedical in 1977 with the vision of providing game-changing dental implant technology paired with life- and practice-enriching education and unsurpassed customer service.

OCO's new leadership is renewing its original pledge to be the best resource and product provider for implant dentists by listening to the needs and desires of its customers, and to respond to gaps in dental implant training. Nowhere is this pledge more evident than in the leadership OCO has recently brought on board.

Adhering to OCO's reinvigorated commitment to its mission and values, the company has brought Janis Martin on board as executive vice president. In January 2008 Martin founded ATX?Bio, an Austin, Texas-based company that provides innovative consulting and management services for healthcare businesses. As an executive with Arise Healthcare, Martin's team was directly responsible for increasing revenue 700 percent for one of its ventures, as well as assisting in the generation of more than $70 million in annual revenues. Arise Healthcare was honored in 2013 and 2014 by the Austin Business Journal as one of the top 50 fastest-growing firms in the region, and in 2015 was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private U.S. companies.

In her role at OCO, Martin looks to continue to facilitate and build upon OCO's proven track record of success in the dental implant industry and help exceed the goals of the company as it looks to broaden its impact globally.

"Dr. D'Alise and I listened to our customers and realized the high demand for practical, advanced-level dental implant education and mentoring that promote optimal clinical results," Martin said. As the chief clinical officer of education at The Ascend Dental Academy, Nazarian will oversee the program and share his knowledge of no-nonsense, comprehensive dental implant information with dentists who want to learn the most efficient and effective ways to place dental implants. Nazarian is a well-known and internationally respected dentist, and owner of Premier Dental Center, which provides comprehensive dentistry from single unit dental implants to full mouth reconstruction in Troy, Michigan.
