Okay, so imagine this.
You've been putting off getting your teeth cleaned. For a long awhile. ??
It's okay. You can admit this because we've all done it at one time or another in our lives.
Even dentists put off getting their teeth cleaned, or so I've been told by my brother, the dentist.
And then, one day, you decide you need to get on your teeth hygiene, but... when you think about that dental chair and how you have to sit there through the drill and the white walls and ceiling, and the glaring lights, you think... "
"Eh, I'll do it another time."
You put your phone down and get back to what you were doing before you had this thought.
If this is you, you're not alone.
Truth be told, there are some staggering statistics that show just how many people avoid going to the dentist because it freaks them out. The anxiety of the whole experience is just too much.
But,
what if being in the dental chair didn't have to be so awful?
What if the walls were painted a soothing color that instantly induced relaxation the moment you walked in?
What if the ceilings were painted a beautiful dark color that made you feel grounded, calm and in your body the moment you sat in the chair and looked up.
What if going to the dentist made all your patients feel this way?
Let me show you this in pictures because as you know, a picture can speak a thousand words.
One of my dental clients transformed her dental office operatories with new paint colors and a new floor.
Here's a pic of her space before the redesign:
And here is the after pic:
Here's what changed:
?? #1. New darker and richer floors. A beautiful compliment to the walls and ceiling.
?? #2. New blue wall color. Blue is a calming color and evokes trust.
?? #3. New dark ceiling color. This creates instantly luxury and makes people feel more grounded in the chair.
What's most important here is to notice how the experience of new colors can absolutely transform a bad experience to a memorable, relaxing and even pleasant one.
This all happened with new colors.
Here's what my client reported back to me about the changes:
“The ceilings are amazing! We have received so may positive comments so far! As soon as the op ceilings were painted, the staff insisted that I do the rest of the office. So we also did the hallways, sterilization and reception area. It makes such a difference!”
