Increasing Your Bottom Line

Increasing Your Bottom Line

The easiest way to increase your bottom line is to not have open time in your schedule which is achieved by eliminating broken appointments and controlling your schedule. For every broken appointment and time left open on the schedule, your bottom line decreases to that degree. This is true for doctor and hygiene chairs.

Better scheduling will allow you to see "extra" patients every day which can culminate into much larger revenues. There is no other secret. It's "Increase your bottom line with fewer broken appointments and no open time on the schedule!" Though expenses enter into the picture, don't be concerned with trivial matters like trying to save money on supplies. This is only a drop in the bucket compared to what that lost time is costing you. Most people count the dollars going out instead of the lack of dollars coming in.

Team members must really understand this and know that their salary and the upcoming raise they expect depends on this. But the doctor must realize it first. If you want to make a good living, whether doctor or staff, this is what it all boils down to. May the force be with you!
