Insurance companies force you to cut your fees, reject patient claims and are just a challenge to work with. If you ask any office manager or insurance coordinator about how they feel about dental insurance they all cringe and don't want to even think about it. Insurance can make patients have a bad experience with your office and complicate the way you run your practice.

How to Reduce Your Dependency on Dental Insurance?

Reducing your dependency on dental insurance can be the best thing you do for your practice and you can do this by creating an In-House membership program. Membership program when built right can be an extra source of recurring revenue for your practice. A membership program is a plan built for your patients where they get discounts and benefits by subscribing to your dental practice. A great example of a membership program is Amazon Prime. Prime generate billions of dollars each year on just the annual recurring subscription from it's customers. Once a customer signs up they get free two day shipping and a whole bunch of other benefits to Amazon. As a dentist you can a should be doing the same thing! Create simple but attractive plans for your patients, receive recurring revenue, build loyal patients and CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN!

I was speaking at a dental event in California this last week and one of the other speakers that was with me told everyone that he used to manage a membership program for a dental office and it generated over $100,000/mo just from the subscription payment. This is incredible and allows you as the dentist to build a predictable and extremely valuable business. If you are wanting to reduce the usage of dental insurance in your practice I highly recommend that you download "How to Create & Grow an In-House membership Program For Your Practice" you can download it here!
