Which tooth is the longest?

(A). Maxillary lateral incisor
(B). Maxillary central incisor
(C). Maxillary canine
(D). Maxillary first molar

Key word: longest

Maxillary canines are the longest teeth (combined length of the root and crown) in the dentition and they support the facial dimension.
The mandibular 1st molar on the other hand is the largest tooth in permanent dentition.

NOTE: there is a difference between “long” and “large.” Make sure to read the question carefully.

Answer: (C). Maxillary canine
