The 21st annual University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry Golf Outing, an event hosted by the College and the UIC Dental Alumni Association Board of Directors, will be held at Maple Meadows Golf Club, 272 Addison Road, Wood Dale, IL, 70191, (630) 616-8424.
The Golf Outing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The fun activity also has proven to be a networking opportunity, as more alumni from Loyola, Northwestern, and other dental schools have attended in recent years. Alumni from all dental schools, and their friends, are welcome to participate.
“Maple Meadows is centrally located, and this makes it easy for UIC, Loyola, Northwestern, and other dentists from both the suburbs and the city to attend,” said Dr. Tom King, ’71, Chair of the Golf Outing. “It’s near I-290, I-90, and Route 53. It’s a links-style golf course.”
Dr. King and Drs. Don Doyle, ’78; Todd Molis, ’74; and Charles DiFranco, Loyola ’81, compose the Golf Outing Committee.
There will be a shotgun start, so that all golfers will be able to finish and have lunch at approximately the same time, Dr. King noted. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m.
Alumni who will belong to special anniversary classes in 2013, those classes whose graduation year ended in a “3” or a “8,” are encouraged to get together at the Golf Outing as a precursor to their Reunion plans.
The price for golf, a golf cart, and the lunch buffet is $95. For non-golfers wishing to attend, the price for the buffet alone is $35.
Prizes also are given for golfing prowess and predictions.
