Grow Your Whitening Business in the Wedding Season

If you have been a regular reader of this blog you know I am passionate about using whitening as a practice-building strategy. With the June wedding season on the horizon, now is a great time to promote whitening in your office.  Here are a few tips/suggestions I recently discussed in an interview with Renee Knight, Senior Editor of Dental Products Report:

Attend local bridal shows.  These shows are a great opportunity for you to talk with brides about whitening and how your practice can help them achieve a sparkling smile for their big day.

Bring a digital photo frame with full-face photos of before and afters. Let them see what you’ve done for other brides and what you could do for them. 

Use social media to market your wedding whitening specials and to show before and after photos.

Talk to brides-to-be in your office.  Pay attention to what’s going on in your patients’ lives.  Once you find out you’re treating a bride-to-be, talk to that patient about whitening specials and let her know the specials include the groom, bridal party and family members. 

Recently, Philips developed a website with great resource material to build your whitening business. Included in their Marketing & Practice-Building Online Resource Center are downloadable materials that you can use to promote whitening within your practice.  

The wedding season is a great time to focus on whitening within your practice. I’d encourage you to set a goal of doing one whitening procedure a day during the month of June. That is likely a significant increase over your currently whitening volume. By setting and achieving this goal in June you will ‘raise the bar’ for whitening in your practice.  Here’s to your success! Keep Smiling!
