Reflective DryTips
Microbrush International has launched its newest moisture control product, Reflective DryTips. The product provides saliva absorbency and doesn't lose moisture when handled. The tips outlast cotton rolls and comfortably stay in place to provide complete coverage of the parotid gland and buccal mucosa. The reflective backing helps illuminate the oral cavity during procedures to provide increased visibility. They are also designed to aid in cheek retraction.

Reflective DryTips are available in large and small sizes, and are ideal for impressions, occlusal adjusting, orthodontics, paint-on techniques, composites, cementation, fissure sealing and fluoride applications.

Epic Pro
Biolase previewed Epic Pro, a new dental diode laser system, at the Greater New York Dental Meeting in November.

The Epic Pro, which the company says offers the most laser power of any diode laser in dentistry, is the first product to result from Biolase's development agreement with IPG Photonics.

The system features several new innovations, including a new super pulse technology for more precise, enhanced laser tissue cutting; real-time automatic power control to enhance speed and consistency when performing surgery; and pre-initiated, bendable, disposable tips with new technology to ensure tip performance and quality.

The laser system is undergoing premarket notification review by the FDA and is not yet available for sale.

Harmonize
Kerr recently announced the launch of Harmonize, a universal composite infused with Adaptive Response Technology (ART), a nanoparticle filler network with features that help dentists achieve a lifelike restorations.

Harmonize diffuses and reflects light in a similar way as human enamel, leading to an enhanced chameleon effect for better blending. In addition, the particle size and structure is designed to offer superior gloss retention and easy polishability.

Harmonize is soft while sculpting, holds its shape without slumping and does so without the stickiness of other composites, thanks to the high loading, spherical shape and rheological modifier of ART.

The ART filler system allows for high loading at 81 percent, plus a unique reinforced nano-scale filler particle network, which leads to better polymerization, more integration with resin, strength and durability.
