As the No. 1-selling fluoride varnish in the U.S., Vanish is a proprietary formula that contains fluoride, calcium and phosphate—components naturally found in saliva. The saliva-activated formula adheres to dry or moist teeth to deliver targeted and sustained fluoride and calcium release.

Better flow
Vanish flows from treated to untreated tooth surfaces, including interproximal areas. Clinical studies show that Vanish flows to more than twice as many tooth surfaces after application, including surfaces that may be hard to reach, making application fast and easy.

Steady fluoride release
Unlike varnishes that release most of their fluoride in the first hour, Vanish provides a prolonged, steady delivery of fluoride, allowing absorption into the tooth. The durable coating releases fluoride and calcium over the life of the varnish—for up to 24 hours. Independent studies show the value of sustained fluoride release from varnishes: "Most studies showing a higher efficacy of fluoride varnish attribute it to its increased contact time."¹

Ease of application
Simply apply one thin coat, sweeping the brush across tooth surfaces—and the Vanish formula does the rest. It sets in the presence of saliva, so no drying is needed. Enhanced flow characteristics allow the varnish to reach interproximal areas that other varnishes may miss. The varnish covers and adheres to the teeth until brushed off.

Patient acceptance
Vanish contains a modified rosin that is white or tooth-colored. After it’s applied to the teeth, the product is virtually invisible—patients find the appearance of Vanish to be highly acceptable. The natural tooth color of the product allows patients to return to their normal daily activities immediately after product application, without concerns about the appearance of varnish on their teeth.
